Relman Colfax celebrates Pride Month 2023. We remain committed to fighting for the rights and dignity of all LGBTQ+ people.

This ongoing struggle is even more important as the community experiences increased attacks on individual and collective rights. We denounce attempts to hide, silence, or shame LGBTQ+ people and their families. We further denounce attempts to undermine access to gender affirming care for transgender and gender nonconforming people. While the fight is far from over, Relman Colfax is proud to have worked with our transgender clients to prevent Wisconsin from denying gender affirming care to transgender Medicaid beneficiaries in Flack v. Wisconsin Department of Health Services. We are also proud to have helped protect trans students’ right to be treated with respect by school staff and to use school facilities matching their gender identity in Whitaker v. Kenosha Unified School District. We are committed to continue working to uphold the LGBTQ+ community’s civil liberties and basic rights, including access to healthcare, education, and housing. And as we did in Walsh v. Friendship Village of South County, Relman Colfax stands ready to enforce the Fair Housing Act to ensure that LGBTQ+ people are able to live in housing of their choice.

This June, Relman Colfax encourages celebration, reflection, and action. Everyone, regardless of their identity, deserves to live with dignity and pride. If you have experienced discrimination because of LGBTQ+ status, feel free to contact us by clicking here.
