Isabella Mandell joined Relman Colfax in 2025 for a two-year term as a civil rights paralegal. Her work focuses on supporting the firm's civil rights litigation and counseling practices.
In 2025, Isabella graduated from Brown University with B.A.s in International and Public Affairs and Environmental Studies. During her senior year, Isabella wrote an honors thesis titled “From Redlining and Busing to School Choice and Gentrification: Segregation by Design in Denver, Colorado,” which won an award for best thesis on American politics and policy. Beyond her studies, she was a lead coordinator and tutor for an organization that provides in-home tutoring to refugee students in Rhode Island. She also interned at a law school-housed community engagement program that advocates for fair housing and environmental justice.
Throughout college, Isabella worked with the Student Clinic for Immigrant Justice, where she held interviews with and drafted personal statements for women who experienced gender-based violence and sought asylum.
In her free time, Isabella enjoys playing pick-up soccer, hiking, and playing board games with friends.
