Opportunities for 2017 Summer Associates

Summer associates provide important assistance in many of the firm's cases, including drafting discovery and briefs, interviewing witnesses and drafting declarations, conducting research, and investigating the claims of individuals seeking representation from the firm.  Summer associates have frequent opportunities to attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and press conferences.

Relman, Dane & Colfax hires 1-4 Summer Associates each summer.  We will be seeking applications for summer associate positions beginning July 1, 2016. Candidates interested in positions for Summer 2017 should send a cover letter, resume, transcript, list of three references, and writing sample to Debbie Adoline, Recruitment Coordinator, Relman, Dane & Colfax PLLC, 312 Louisiana Avenue, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551, or by email to careers@relmanlaw.com.  Note that while the mailing address is in Ohio, the summer associate positions are located in Relman, Dane & Colfax’s Washington, D.C. office. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to civil rights, strong academic credentials, and an interest in litigation.  Hiring decisions will be made by September 2016.

Opportunities for Paralegals

Paralegals are an integral part of the litigation process at Relman, Dane & Colfax.  They interview individuals seeking representation from the firm; conduct factual investigations; review client and discovery documents; assist in preparation of legal briefs and client presentations and preparation for trials; communicate with clients and witnesses; and conduct various administrative tasks.  Paralegals have opportunities to attend strategy sessions, client meetings, depositions, hearings, trials, and press conferences.

Relman, Dane & Colfax will be accepting applications beginning December 1, 2016.  We will be seeking paralegals to begin a two-year commitment in early summer 2017.
