Abigail Moats joined Relman, Dane & Colfax in 2018 for a two-year term as a civil rights paralegal. Her work focuses on supporting the firm's civil rights litigation and civil rights counseling work.
Abigail graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in the Honors Program on Government and Foreign Affairs in 2018. During college, Abigail was a research assistant for Professor Daniel Gingerich, and worked as a volunteer for the Legal Aid Justice Center and the International Rescue Committee in Charlottesville, VA. Abigail also served as president of the Parliamentary Debate Society at the University of Virginia, and was ranked among the top ten teams of the year by the American Parliamentary Debate Association.
After the completion of her term as a civil rights paralegal, Abigail plans to attend law school, where she hopes to center her studies around the intersection of civil rights and environmental justice.
