Ashley Nies is a Summer Associate at Relman Colfax. She joined the firm in 2026 and contributes to the civil rights litigation group.
Ashley is a rising third-year law student at Georgetown University Law Center, where she is a Blume Public Interest Scholar, Moses Public Interest Scholar, and Opportunity Scholar. During law school, Ashley has worked at the O’Neill Institute’s Center for Community Health Innovation, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and Georgetown’s Federal Legislation Clinic. She is also the General Issue Senior Notes and Articles Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law and a member of the Appellate Advocacy Team.
Prior to law school, Ashley attended Stanford University, where she earned an M.S. in Community Health and Prevention Research and a B.S. in Human Biology with a concentration in Public Health and Epidemiology. In her free time, Ashley enjoys figure skating, playing the guzheng (Chinese harp), and traveling. She is also fluent in Mandarin.
