Max Niles joined Relman Colfax in 2022 for a two-year term as a civil rights paralegal. His work focuses on supporting the firm’s civil rights litigation and civil rights counseling practices.
Max graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University in 2022 with an A.B. in History and Public Policy. His senior honors thesis focused on Black political expression in Cuba at the turn of the 20th century. During college Max volunteered with Brown Elementary Afterschool Mentoring, tutoring elementary school students at a school in Providence. He also volunteered with Housing Opportunities for People Everywhere (HOPE), an organization serving unhoused Rhode Islanders and fighting for housing justice. Max interned at the Brookings Institution, researching diversity in the tech sector and the future of work, The Blue Lab, a progressive political consulting firm, and FHI360, an international NGO.
In his free time, Max enjoys being with friends and family, watching movies, and cooking.
